Fused Glass Green Tree Hanging - Handmade Glass Suncatcher

Fused glass hanging tree suncatcher featuring hand made green details. I've used fresh Spring green colours and is inspired by my love of nature and wildlife. A beautiful gift, perhaps for a relative, it looks lovely in a window, giving a splash of fresh colour. To make this suncatcher, I cut 2 rectangles from transparent art glass. Then I hand cut copper foil with a scalpel to make the trunk and branches of the tree and sandwich it between 2 layers of art glass. This is the fused slowly overnight in my kiln. In the heat of the kiln, the copper foil turns a lovely rich dark red colour. Once fully cooled, I then added coloured glass dots and leaves which I have made previously to give some added interest to the design. A second firing is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect. Once cooled again, I added the silver hanging wire. Size: 10cm x 10cm. Comes ready to hang on a silver wire. Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string.
