About this item
These bird earrings are made from anodised aluminium which I have dyed in ribbons of yellow ochre which criss-cross each other to look like checks. I seal the dye in so that it becomes a permanent part of the metal and cut out the bird shape by hand with a piercing saw. The birds measure 22mm across and 12mm down and dangle from a sterling silver hoops which are 15mm across.
