Quirky original acrylic small painting on canvas of two magpies on a patterned green background which continues around edges. Fun magpie characters look at each other sideways. Green patterned background inspired by my illustration and textile work. Acrylic and acrylic gouache on canvas, some unpainted canvas areas for the whites, matt and shiny areas, simple bare canvas on back. The painting can be hung from a nail (will balance on wood frame) or propped on a shelf. Fun way to brighten any room, would be good for child's room or nursery. Size 15cm x 20cm x 1.8cm deep.

This is part of a series of paintings I made featuring magpies, always two, on a coloured background. This particular one has a pattern that I have used a lot in my illustration work, and that I keep returning to.
