The warm, earthy tones and durability of copper have made it a popular choice for jewellery throughout the ages. Many feel a deep almost spiritual connection and are drawn to its beauty. I have made this beautiful pendant from copper wire which I have fashioned into a heart shape and then soldered before giving it a hammered and polished finish. The heart measures approximately 2.5 x 2.5 cm and is hung by a soldered sterling silver jump ring from an 18 inch sterling silver chain necklace. The copper will continue to develop beautiful rich colours over time and it's easy to quickly clean up using commercial products or homemade cleaning solutions made from items in your kitchen cupboard.
