About this item
This is a beautiful hand crafted pendant made from a vintage china plate, in an antiqued silver metal mount. The pendant measures approximately 4cm tall including the bail, 3.2cm wide and 0.7cm deep. It comes on a black waxed cord which is 44cm long with a 5cm extension chain (total length 49cm). I am happy to change this to a 57cm cord with a 5cm extension chain (total length 62cm) if you prefer. Please let me know when you place your order. The pendant has been crafted from broken, chipped or crazed vintage and antique china that is no longer fit for purpose - no 'perfect' plates were harmed in the making of my jewellery! This piece is from a Mason's 'Ascot' plate and is in a beautiful deep plum colour. Each pendant is a unique statement piece and has it's own little characteristics from the vintage china it's been taken from. The pendant will be carefully packaged in a sturdy, hand decorated box and will be posted Royal Mail Tracked 48hrs. This listing is for the pendant and cord only and you will receive the actual one shown in the photo. I have photographed it next to a 50p piece to give an idea of scale and also shown an example of the box it will be packaged in.

I have always loved ceramics and have spent many years collecting beautiful and sometimes broken pieces of china that I have found in antique shops and flea markets. I often use these found treasures in my photography and occasionally in my mixed media work. Making jewellery from them seemed a natural progression and a wonderful way to display and preserve these beautiful patterns and colours.
