Read the Folksy Returns Policy.

This No7:2 design originates from a cross back apron I designed for my first range on Folksy, which had long adjustable tie straps. Soon craftspeople asked for custom versions, potters and jewellery makers asked for a split leg skirt and tool loop etc. The set of wide pockets were set at waist height so that they would be easily accessable when the wearer is seated. Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.

What buyers say about In The Making - Aprons

  • I already had a lovely bespoke apron for my silversmithing, but I've used that one a decade and it's got a bit baggy. This new one is fabulous. It's really sturdy yet soft denim and 100 denim, so it won't stretch nor be a fire risk The pocket has already rescued a gemstone for me. It arrived promptly, was beautifully packaged and I'm delighted with it. Thank you Lisa.
