Chequerboard Pattern Toddler Cardigan Knitting Pattern. PDF Knitting Pattern

This fabulous children's cardigan has an all over chequerboard pattern in black and white. The fronts and back are knit as one piece, then joined at the shoulder seam, with neckband and front bands knitted on. The sleeves are knit separately, and sewn in. I have written instructions for this pattern in 2 sizes, for age 1 - 2 and age 2 - 4. It is knit in stocking stitch, with rib bands, and uses 2.5mm and 3.25 mm needles. The larger cardigan uses a total of 135g of 4ply acrylic yarn. You will also need 6 15mm buttons. My pattern is written so it is very easy to understand. It is ideal for an intermediate knitter or a beginner who has knitted a few items, and knows how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, colour change and follow small pattern charts. All techniques are described in the pattern.
