About this item
These miniature ceramic landscapes have been created by painting under glazes and oxides onto a ceramic, hand cut tile, that has been previously biscuit fired. After painting, the tile is then dipped into a clear earthenware glaze, deepening the colours and giving a shiny finish. After a second kiln firing, the landscapes are then mounted onto a painted and varnished block, cut from salvaged wood, then fitted with a hanging mechanism on the back. These small art works are ready to hang and fully signed on the front and back, look good individually, but also good as a group. This landscape measures 3cm square, the mount, 7 cm square and 1 cm in thickness.

These miniature landscape, have been created as a small version of the larger landscapes listed on my site, and are inspired by my local coastline, on the Inner Forth, parts of which are an RSPB site, home to many animals and birds. Within these miniatures, I hope to capture a feel of the changing seasons and light quality. This ceramic landscape is ready to hang immediately, bringing a bit of nature into your home.
