This is a yellow and blue inverted arch shaped necklace suspended on a silver plate curb chain necklace. The pendant is made from an Etruscan terracotta clay and has been printed on the surface using bright coloured slips, this is then finished with a clear glaze to make the colours pop. The necklace has a ring clasp. Pendant size 53mm x 30mm x 4mm necklace length 42cm

I’ve been wanting to try out printing coloured slips for a while, but as I use dark coloured clay couldn’t work out how it could be done without the colours bleeding into each other. So after some experiments I have come up with these designs. I love the bright colours on the deep terracotta clays, it gives them the feel of enamels on copper.
