About this item
This cat is made using traditional teddy bear making techniques. I have made this example in mohair but synthetic fur fabric can be used instead. The cat has five joints, head shoulders and hips. I have given him a weighted tail so that he can be posed on a shelf with his tail hanging down. The aim was to make a cat equivalent to the teddy bear rather than a realistic cat. The pattern pack includes full Instructions with diagrams. The pattern is printed on thin card so that the pieces can be cut out and used as templates.

Being a cat lover I decided I wanted to make a cat equivalent to a teddy bear. I have tried a number of pattern styles with varying degrees of success. This is a version of the one that was most popular.
