Four Pleat Vase Dark Green

Small wheel thrown handmade vase decorated with pleats and glazed in a dark green colour. The inside has been glazed in a green colour and will hold water if you wanted to put fresh cut flowers in it. The outside has been glazed in a dark green; The pleats or lines were created while the clay was leather hard. Lines of equal length were cut into the clay and then overlapped and gently re-joined creating crisp pleats. Wax resist was used to prevent the glaze from covering the area next to each pleat highlighting it as a curve. Tall enough to take a small posy of short stem flowers or can be used as a bud vase. Alternatively you could use it for utensils such as wooden spoons. Size: 14.5cm tall, 9.5cm wide at widest point, 8cm internal width at rim. Stamped on the base with my makers mark.
