Water-based black, matte ink print on white 140 gsm paper, hand-hand pressed with a spoon and touched up and painted by hand also to give it a consistent tone all over. (Watermark only included to protect the online image, the print will only have edition number, title if needed and it will be signed by myself.) Size of the image is approx. 7 x 6.5 cm Size of the mount is approx. 16 x 16 cm Limited edition of 25 prints of this design in this colour combination, it is also available in Black and White with an edition of 30. Delivered mounted and wrapped in cellophane. All UK-bound items are sent 1st class delivery, signed for. Please contact me if you would prefer another method. As someone who used to help organise the Montol Festival in Penzance, I was always keen to find out traditions involved around Christmas in Cornwall, as very often, they were completely chaotic and unusual. One book I used to have stated that the Butchers in Penzance used to rig up an actual pig's head (I believe it would have been in the window) with a tube that would have enabled fire to be blasted out of the mouth of the poor pig, making a spectacle (and then some) for Christmas! Unfortunately after lending the book without taking notes I am struggling to find the reference (I SWEAR I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!) but the cover was black and it was about Old Cornish Christmas Customs. Being vegetarian, I had to be inspired by the idea and tweak it a little. Is this a fire-breathing pig head from outer space? Is it served on a plate? It's up to you to interpret what I have created!
