About this item
I have started to make new collages during lockdown. This is a one of a kind, original mixed media collage, exploring beauty in decay. Reflecting on time passing, the layers of history peeling through, being painted over again and again. History repeating itself, a palimpsest revealing itself. This is one of my original signed miniatures, unframed. It can be sent as a card, (or it can be framed in a 10.5cm x 15cm frame - IKEA sell several of a suitable size). The artwork is mounted on Kraft card and white card. Overall size - 104mm x 148mm Materials: Mixed media, paint, inks, mixed papers My artwork will be sent to you first class, Royal Mail, signed for delivery. An original, signed, one of a kind collage which makes a totally original gift!

I've been making individual collages during lockdown, thinking about our isolation, and where we retreat to when we want to be alone, but how lockdown has forced us to be alone. I was thinking about how the garden shed has often been a symbol of somewhere to get away to, but how it's now a place of daily work, or retreat whilst we are working from home. Angry sheds maybe? They never get a moment's peace nowadays!
