The aquamarine striped fused glass pendant has a tactile matt surface just like a sea smoothed pebble and comes complete with a chunky silver plated bail, a stainless steel choker and gift box, just ready to give as a gift. Each colourway of these pendants is a limited edition, and each pendant within the edition is different from the next, making this a truly unique piece of jewellery. These pendants are born of my love of sea smoothed pebbles and sea glass. I make them in 'limited edition' series, seldom repeating a colour combination, and each individual pendant in a series is different from the next so you really are getting a unique piece. I create the pendants by fusing together many layers of glass in my kiln to create a slab of glass; then break this slab up into chunks and fire these again in the kiln, sometimes once, sometimes a few times, to create a series of glass pebbles. Each kiln firing takes up to 24 hours, so you can see the amount of time and work that goes into each piece. Once I'm happy with the design of each piece I sandblast the glass and fire it one final time in my kiln to give it the lovely tactile smooth satin finish before adding the silver plated bail.
