Starfish mosaic hanger

Starfish are one of our favourite sea creatures, and we love this mosaic version. Olive beach glass comes in a wonderful range of shades, many more than in the brown range. The glass has come from old bottles and so the pieces are often slightly curved. This, and the rounding from being on the beach, give each piece a three-dimensional quality. We have tumbled the glass so it is smooth and finely frosted. The centre of this eye-catching piece is a star made from shell. The back of the starfish is top-quality laser cut plywood with an attractive brown edge. The wall hanger is 12 cm high, 11.5 cm wide and 7 mm thick. It comes on a 9 cm cotton cord. If you would prefer a longer cord please let us know the length you would like. Our mosaic wall hangers are made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each wall hanger is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth. The wall hanger will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
