Decorated Tea Box 3 Section Vintage Tea & Coffee Advertisements Time for Tea

This three-section tea box, with squared edges, has been painted brown and then crackled with a dark cream before being decorated all over (except for the dark cream base) with unusual, brown and cream, paper napkin images of vintage, foreign advertisements for tea and coffee importers. The inside is painted cream, including the section pieces. The colours and crackle of the tea box give it an aged, rustic look, whilst the napkin decoupage itself gives the surface a lovely textured feel to the touch. The tea box would make an unusual gift, perhaps filled with sachets of the receiver’s favourite tea. Or it could hold any tea-related implements or treasures that the owner wishes. The chest measures 21.3cms wide x 8.5cms depth and 8.3cms height.
