About this item
A repurposed linocut print of steampunk/georgianpunk pirate musician and my alter ego, GurdyBird, in waterbased black ink, with liquid metal gold acrylic paint and gold sharpie details, as well as handwritten text in fineliner, covered in book film, with a golden tassel attached at the top, with 2 hand sewn gold coloured sequins and beads to decorate. The back is card decorated with red fleur de lys decoupage paper. Item measures approx 20cm x 6.3cm or 28.5cm x 6.3cm with tassel included.

My musical alter ego is a georgianpunk/steampunk pirate musician called GurdyBird. I've enjoyed performing live at many UK steampunk and pirate events. My music can be found at https://gurdybird.bandcamp.com and my work can be seen on YouTube. I have this design in full soon to be listed on the shop. Inspired by old wood cuts from the 18th century, here is a rendition of album artwork for "Different Ships, Different Long Splices" Designed, hand-carved and hand printed and hand finished. It's also inspired by the practice of pressing and slipping the King's Shilling into a pub goer's drink so that they would apparently be seen to take the "invitation" to join the navy. The Rave-y Navy comes from the style of folktronica/neofolk music I write.
