About this item
This unique spacious Clutch Bag is beautifully hand-crafted using Harris Tweed and Scottish Linen. It can be folded either way to give two different looks It is lined with a Polka Dot Lawn Cotton and has 3 pockets inside to keep smaller items safe. It is finished with a chunky brass zipper The finished bag is approximately 31 X 32cm when flat and 18cm x 32cm when folded It carries a Harris Tweed label which authenticates the fabric as being genuine Harris Tweed which has been hand woven by a weaver in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The Linen fabric is woven in Kirkcaldy in one of the last Linen weaving mills in Scotland Accessories are not included CARE INSTRUCTIONS – Washing is not recommended. I have loved Harris Tweed for a long time and I buy it mostly from an independent weaver. The Tweed, by law, must be produced from yarn which is made from 100% pure new wool which has been dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and woven by hand at homes of local islanders. It is the only fabric in the world to have its own Act of Parliament. I decided that I would like to make a product using both Harris Tweed and Linen fabric which is woven locally to where I live as I felt that both these fabrics complemented each other perfectly. I then chose Vintage Sari Silk as a lining to give the bag a touch of luxury All my products are carefully hand stitched in my studio paying every attention to detail My aim is for my business to be sustainable and considerate for the environment, using local and UK based suppliers wherever possible. I try to minimise wastage and all my packaging is Eco-Friendly, using recycled and recyclable materials
