About this item
An unusual square glass cabochon, with William Morris style floral pattern, is encased in miyuki seed beads. Using a mixture of bead embroidery and peyote stitch the seed beads in shades of chartreuse green, matt grey and silver lined crystal make a frame for this beautiful cabochon. The pendant is backed with grey Ultrasuede and the reverse side features my own spiral logo. The bail is made using the same beads in a peyote stitch and the whole piece hangs from a twisted bead rope. It fastens very simply with a Tibetan silver hook clasp with an extension chain. This would make a lovely present, either for a loved one or a gift to yourself. This is a piece that can be worn all year round with winter outfits or summer dresses. Length of necklace is 41.5 cms, extending to 48 cms with the extension chain. The beaded cabochon measures 3.2cm across and with the bail measures 4.8cm long This item will be lovingly packaged in a gift box and will be sent Royal Mail First Class in secure packaging. This classically elegant cabochon was the starting point and the beads came next. I wanted to make something rather special, using a variety of techniques, not least the beaded twisted rope which I think just sets it off nicely.
CAUTION: Please note that small glass beads used in this jewellery may pose a risk of choking to small children. Not suitable for children under 3 years old. To care for your necklace, please avoid contact with water and perfume. The clasp and extender may be carefully cleaned with a silver cleaning cloth.
