About this item
These blue/grey buttons came from the ‘Five Star Jeans’ range. Those three words are moulded into the outer front ring of each button. There are 4x holes set into a ridged center for sewing onto your garment. They are quite unusual and would give a ‘designer’ touch to your creation. These buttons would handle a thicker type of material, such as denim, quite easily as they are slightly domed at the back plate. They are very substantial in their manufacture and would stand the test of time, and wear, (and machine washing!). Each button is 18mm in diameter. I have THOUSANDS of buttons, all sorted and attached to cards, and I will be listing them as often as I can. If you don't find the ones you like this week, please try again next week, or the week after. Of course, if you don't have the time for that, but you know what you are looking for, or even just have an inkling of an idea, contact me with your request and I will search through all the collection for you. My mother and grandmother both had stashes of buttons, most of which were purchased before I was born (and I remember the ‘Swinging 60’s’!). I used to love to play with the buttons, plunging my tiny hands into the tins and jars of multi-coloured 'gems'. I spent hours sorting them into coloured piles, size relation piles, design piles and any other pile I could think of. Decades later, after I had inherited the tins and jars of historical lovelies, I came up with the 'brilliant' idea of sharing the love with whomever would like to adorn their creations with something a bit different, a bit 'special'.
