About this item
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. I wanted to make a may pole but that exact shape does not lend itself to a suncatcher so I compromised with a design of 7 ribbons swilrling down from a central disc. I decided to have a patriotic version so the ribbons are red, white and blue and infilled with some rather lovely clear bubbled glass. . I've framed the suncatcher with twisted wire for strength and neatness. This is 13 cm in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
