Crochet bag pattern with optional lining. Based on a granny square. Lovely gift.

Please note that this is for the PDF pattern only and not for the whole item. This is my own design and pattern to enable you to make this lovely crochet cotton bag. It has been crocheted in 100% cotton yarn with a 3.50 mm size hook but could easily be made in any other yarn as long as you use the appropriate sized hook. This pattern uses just eight colours but you could use fewer colours or even just one colour. It is made from 32 crochet squares and the pattern will show you how to embellish them to make them really special. You can add buttons to the centre of each square too if you like. If you can crochet a granny square, you will be fine with this. There are also full instructions for adding a lining and the amount of fabric you will need if you wish to do this but that is up to you. Your bag will be unique. This photo tutorial gives you step by step detailed instructions for all parts of the bag covering 10 pages and has 25 full colour photographs to help you. Please note that the pattern is written in UK/Australian crochet terms but there isn't a lot of difference from US terms. Its just that some of the names of the stitches are different but I've added a handy conversion chart so you shouldn't have any difficulty.
