About this item
A lovely pair of felt decorations to add to your holiday trimmings. This pair of vintage shape inspired felt baubles are made in felt of red and on trend ice blue. On each a smaller shape in contrasting colour is stitched to the main body and the centre of this is adorned with a beautifully patterned wooden button, one has a striped mitten filled with sweets and the other has a reindeer and stars on. The top is shaped with grey felt bauble cap which has stitching detail, an extra touch with makes this item feel more like a bauble rather than just a felt shape. It has a narrow cream satin ribbon hanging loop and would look splendid on a tree or as part of any display around the house this Christmas season. Approximate measurements are just over two and half inches (6.5cm) at the widest place and just under four inches long (10cm) excluding hanging loop and six and a half inches (16cm) with the loop. They are produced flat so they are ideal for posting and take up next to no storage space, so I’m sure you can justify added them to your Christmas collection. This item is designed as a decorative item and is not a toy.

I love making felt decorations (as you can see by other items in the shop) so it seemed natural to create a range of Christmas ones as well. These traditional Christmas shapes make me think of the amazing vintage glass ones I would find at my grandparents and the softness and unbreakable nature of the felt makes me think of some favorite fabric ones my mother had when I was a child. While designing these I decided to make them flat (unlike my everyday ornaments which are stuffed) this is because they are a season item and require storage and if others are anything like myself your Christmas collection of decorations is forever growing and evolving as you find more items you love so something that was beautiful but easy to store was a key element in creating this piece.
