Sterling silver ring set with a 1921 threepence,the three pence is set with a pale blue sapphire in a coronet setting . The ring shank is constructed from 4 mm by 2 mm D shaped wire. The main inspiration for this ring was the challenge of developing a setting upon another setting,whilst allowing the threepence to be viewable from both sides and a setting which would provide enough light to the sapphire whilst being durable design .
