About this item
21st birthday pewter plate . To make this plate I draw my design on to the pewter which I then raise and define using a boxwood tool to stretch and mould the image. The raised design is then filled and mounted on to a base,then the background is worked further to give a textured look , patinated and finally polished. This pewter does not tarnish like silver but can be buffed up if necessary with a silver cloth of silver wadding.
