I begin by wrapping the heart-shaped frame in hessian before selecting and arranging the buttons. I often layer two or three buttons together to create little clusters of colour and texture, moving them around until I feel the design is just right. No two hearts are ever exactly the same.\n\nAt the centre of the wreath is a smaller heart, also wrapped in hessian ribbon and finished with a pretty button in the middle. Nestled within the larger heart, it creates a lovely focal point and adds another layer of handmade detail.\n\nThe wreath is finished with a button hanger. On the reverse, there is also a small decorative heart, adding an extra thoughtful touch.\n\nI love working with buttons because every collection is different, and I enjoy choosing unusual colours and combinations to give each heart its own personality. The result is a cheerful, colourful and slightly quirky piece of handmade wall art.\n\nIt would make a lovely addition to a hallway, bedroom, craft room or anywhere that could use a little colour.
