They can be stitched or stuck, depending on what you are applying them to. \n\nEach one is made of 4 layers of petals  and a centre of black felt. Several shades of red and pink organza have been used and because the layers overlap, different shades are created. Free motion machine embroidery has been used to add detail.\n\nThis set included  a layer of red net around the centre. This adds a more texture. \n\nSizes vary slightly, but are generally between  7cm and 9cm in diameter. The back shows the underside of the embroidery. \nThe petals' edges are sealed using heat which also curls and shapes the organza. As such, there's a fragility around them just as with real poppies. Each one is different. \n\nThe possibilities as to how these could be used are endless including as wedding accessories.
