Traditionally these ornamental statutes are placed in front of imperial places, temples, homes - they are believed to have powerful protective qualities and bring prosperity. \n\nOil based relief inks on 270gsm high quality Bread and Butter cartridge paper.\n\nI printed this linocut in my studio at the Bath Artist Printmakers. I used a traditional book press along with traditional printmaking methods; due to the nature of the print process all prints will have slight variation making them unique to you.\n\nPaper size A5 (21cm x 14.9). Will fit a standard A5 frame.\n\nA small edition of 50, signed, titled and numbered by the artist, me! The print you will receive may not necessarily be the edition number shown.\nPLEASE NOTE: each print will also be signed with a Chinese artist seal ! Shown in the fourth \u0026 fifth image. \n\nThe print will be wrapped in tissue paper and sent in a protective brown tube or wrapped in tissue paper and protected in mountboard/pulpboard/cardboard for posting. Minimal plastic and packaging will be used. Recycled where possible.\n\nPlease state if this item is a gift.\n\nAll prints are designed, carved and pressed by me.\n\nI currently dispatch to U.K only.\n\nPlease note the price is purely for ONE print only and not any additional items in the photograph.\n\nHow to care for this print:\n\nRemove packaging and frame the print behind glass. A mount or a box frame is advised so the print does not come in direct contact with the glass. Place/hang away from strong sunlight.\n\nAny questions please ask away.
