However, sadly both were broken on delivery and instead of throwing away I decided to use what I could. Most of the patterns were cracked and shattered so not much could be saved.\r\nI managed to create this pendant from the pattern which ran around the edges of one of the tiles. The final piece is abstract and set into an open back claw bezel made from recycled sterling silver. Usually this type of bezel tray is used for more 3D settings but I like the way the shard of tile sits flat held by the four claws.\r\nThe finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used.
