Several shades of powder are built up in layers to achieve a realistic colour and the separate elements are kiln fused into 'wafers' to bind the powders together. The petals are then layered into flower heads and fused again, and finally the picture is built onto a base of white glass and the third firing takes place, resulting in a delicate and realistic 3D image. \nThe glass panel measures 15cm square and the slate measures 22cm.
