Hand stitched by me in DMC embroidery threads on a linen background, I chose a mix of traditional stitches to bring this beautiful flower to life. \r\n\r\nLovely little decor piece for summer, and an ideal gift for a gardener or lover of traditional flowers. The leaves are in a variagated thread using fly stitch, and the thorny stem is backstiched. \r\n\r\nThe finished picture has been stretched and laced over an acid free board with a layer of wadding, and backed with wool felt.  \r\n\r\nUnframed - just the right size to fit through a letterbox, and can be displayed just as it is propped on a shelf or displayed on a little easel.
