Hand-cut templates were used to create the part of each flower and leaf by sifting glass powders onto a kiln shelve through the templates and firing. This gave fragile, delicate wafers of glass. Next, the different sections of the flowers were again fired together to make a complete flower. Leaves and flowers were tack-fused with a sprinkling of frit to give each piece a 3D look onto the base And slumped into the bowl shape. The finished piece is 26cm in diameter x 7cm deep.
