It features a springtime woodland view with hints of bluebells growing beneath the tree trunks. The trees are created with vertical  pieces of tessera in shades of brown and grey and a trail of blue meanders through a carpet of green leaves. I tried to create a light and delicate effect and a sense of a springtime walk. This piece has gunmetal grey grout and is framed with a row of dark, sage green tiles.\r\n\r\nI use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire. \r\n\r\nDimensions: 16 cm x 22 cm x 2.5cm\r\nDue to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only.  \r\nEach wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar design and colour palette on request.
