Inspired by the sight of rain drops hitting a surface at an angle, this rack has 21 individually carved beech rain drops striking a beech backboard at different angles. The backboard was originally a cupboard shelf recovered from a primary school due to be demolished in Blackley, Manchester and the raindrops are carved from two old woodworking planes bought at car boot sales. Each drop is screwed and glued and it has been given a clear wax finish.
