The shard was stained and very cracked. It looked so fragile that I didn't think it would be able to be used. However, after cleaning and fully drying out I was able to clip the piece which broke into these two distinctive shapes. I gently sanded the sharp edges, only a little bit of glaze remains on the front and back glaze has worn away. Sealed with Eco Friendly Matte Sealant.\r\n\r\nThe two shards have created a very unusual pair of earrings, unique, one of a kind and full of history. Found by chance on a sunny day in July 2021.\r\n\r\nThe idea is to create something new from old. The finished item isn't meant to be perfect.
