This suncatcher looks beautiful when hung in a window or against a plain wall. A beautiful gift for a friend or relative who loves nature.\r\n\r\nTo make it, I start by using a very fine scalpel and hand cut a swirl shape from thin copper foil. I then cut transparent cut art glass into 2 ellipse shapes and sandwich the copper swirl in between the ellipses. I then fused it slowly overnight in my kiln. In the heat of the kiln, the copper foil turns into a lovely rich red colour. Next I cut and shaped leaf shapes from a variety of transparent and opaque green glass and placed them on to the design. The whole piece went back into the kiln a second time at a lower temperature so the leaves remain slightly 3 dimensional. When completely cooled, I drilled the tiny hole and added a hanging wire.\r\n\r\nComes ready to hang on a silver wire.\r\n\r\nItem comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string.
