It is a curved piece of red glass which is ribbed on one side. We think it has come from a back light or rear reflector - the type cars had in the 1930s. We have tumbled the glass so it is rounded and smooth. From certain angles the glass appears to vary in colour, but the photo against the light shows it is the same red throughout. We hardly ever find red glass and this interesting piece is the only one of its kind we have found so far. To keep the pendant simple we have mounted it using sterling silver. \r\n\r\nThe pendant is 3.5 cm high, 1.5 cm wide and 5 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine sterling silver trace chain.  If you would prefer a different length chain please let us know the length you would like. \r\n \r\nOur jewellery is individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches.  Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique.  We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges in sand (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.\r\n\r\nThe pendant will be delivered by Royal Mail.
