I've used tones of turquoise, blue and green in my fused glass panel inspired by spring flowers. This looks lovely either on a window sill with light flooding through, on a mantelpiece or in front of a candle. Each wave is completely unique.\r\n\r\nTo make it, I used art glass and cut 2 pieces of transparent glass the same shape and size. I then hand cut copper foil with a scalpel into the shapes of stems and flowers. Next I add specialist glass paint which turns into turquoise bubbles in the heat of the kiln. I fired it slowly overnight in my kiln. Once completely cooled, I then add petals, stems and circles that I've cut from art glass and coloured and dichroic dots which I have made previously to give some added interest to the design. A second firing is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect. Finally, the piece is fired a third time so it slowly slumps over a ceramic mould, giving it its wave shape.\r\n\r\nPerfect on a window sill, or in front of a candle.\r\n\r\nSize approx: 22cm x 10.5cm\r\n\r\nItem comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string.
