A plain white cotton has been used for sashes in between the rows as well as top and bottom.  A 3” (8cm) border of pink check cotton has been added on all sides and the pale blue spot double thickness hand finished binding picks out the pale blue colour in the check fabric.  \r\n\r\nThe backing of the quilt has been made in plain white cotton and a lightweight polyester wadding has been used between the layers.
