Inside it has a brick red glaze which reacts with the manganese in the clay creating a velvety chocolate colouring. \r\nThe cup has a shallow footring on the base. \r\n\r\nThe saucers are a flat disc shape with a footring on the base. These are available in either a glazed or unglazed finish as seen in the fifth photo. Please leave a note in the 'comments to seller' with your chosen preference - glazed (left) or unglazed (right).\r\n\r\nBoth have my makers mark impressed on them on the base.\r\n\r\nThe cup and saucer were thrown by hand on the pottery wheel. The small handle was attached afterwards before the first firing in the kiln. It is small but still comfy enough to hold for a small volume of coffee.
