I then used the printed fabric to embroider on, using the fluid horizontal lines as a frame for the lines of stitching.  Trailing vines and climbing plants were my inspiration.\r\n\r\nThe stitching is completed in DMC stranded embroidery thread, using only two or three strand to give a delicate appearance. I have used french knots, feather stitch, lazy daisy, whipped and normal running stitches in fresh, vibrant shades of green, mint, orange and yellow.\r\n\r\nThe embroidery is framed in a wooded embroidery hoop which has been painted with green acrylic paint. The hoop measures 13.5cm / 5” wide. It can be displayed by hanging on the wall, or propped on a shelf. The printed fabric is 100% linen. The back of the hoop is covered with card. \r\n\r\nThe embroidery wall decoration will be posted to you carefully wrapped in tissue paper and tucked into a sturdy card envelope.
