It's also an example of fusion as in the cenre is a heart which I fused in my kiln.\r\n\r\nA brand new design for New Year 2018. I had a rather lovely heart I'd just fused in my kiln and an idea for a design with a smaller heart at the centre of a bigger patchworked heart. This is the result. I hope you like it.\r\n\r\nThe slightly streaky red fused heart is 5.5 x 4.5cm and is topped with a design of delicately coloured amber and gold dichroic. \r\n\r\nThe outer patchwork heart is composed of a mix of reds and ambers in deeper shades which are continued into the borders with paler shades to make a rectangular plaque.\r\n\r\nIt is 13.5 x 12.5 cm and hangs from a silver coloured little chain which is securely attached to the top at either sides. I've enclosed it in a twisted wire border for neatness and strength.\r\n\r\n.It looks wonderful hanging in the window, catching the sun.\r\n\r\nThis item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.  In this case the fused heart is absolutely unique.
