My work is not stamped hammered or molded in any way, but hand tooled entirely from scratch which takes many hours of laborious hand work. \r\nThe metal is worked from behind against a leather pad and then further refined by working from the front, the technique I use us called repoussework. I first came across this technique when visiting a house designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh, I saw a panel designed and executed by his wife, Margaret Macdonald.\r\nThat was 20 years ago and I have been making pewter pictures abd mirrors ever since.
